FAQ

Pricing questions

What does Standard AI coverage mean?

Standard AI coverage means Lectern monitors the major AI surfaces where brand visibility matters most — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise plans can extend coverage to additional models (like Grok) and custom model mixes on request.

What is a daily or weekly refresh?

A refresh is how often Lectern re-runs your tracked queries against AI assistants to capture new mentions, rankings, and citations. Weekly refresh (Hobby) re-checks every seven days — good for spotting longer-term trends. Daily refresh (Pro and Enterprise) re-checks once a day, so you see movement the morning after it happens.

What is history?

History is how far back you can look at your visibility data. 14-day history on Hobby gives you a rolling two-week snapshot. Full history on Pro and Enterprise keeps every refresh you've ever run, so you can compare today against any prior week, month, or quarter.

Are my reports public or private?

On the free Hobby plan, reports are public by default — anyone with the link can view them, which is great for sharing your AI visibility story openly. Upgrading to Pro or Enterprise unlocks private and link-only reports, so you control exactly who can see your data and can keep results team-only.

Can I set daily usage limits?

Lectern uses monthly usage caps rather than daily ones, so you don't have to babysit a meter. Pro defaults to a $150/month cap, so you won't get a surprise bill. Enterprise plans run without a default cap.

Can I increase my usage limit cap?

Yes. Pro starts with a $150/month cap, and Lectern can raise it when you need more headroom. If you regularly need higher limits, Enterprise removes the default cap entirely so high-volume teams aren't throttled.

What is a custom prompt set?

A custom prompt set is a tailored library of priority queries built around your specific market, personas, and competitive landscape. Hobby and Pro plans use prompts you configure yourself with help from our onboarding flow. Enterprise customers get a Lectern operator who designs, refines, and maintains the prompt set with you as your market shifts.
